This Catholic Schools Week we focused on Jesus--the true super hero. We discussed how we need to trust God and seek the truth to grow in faith, knowledge, and service.

St. Mary fourth grader Ryan Norden dressed as St. Tarcisus visited the second grade classroom to tell them about the saint. The children were eager to learn more about the martyr who sacrificed his life to protect the Blessed Sacrament. St. Tarcisus is the patron saint of first communicants.
St. Mary second grade sponsored a food drive for the Avilla Food Pantry. Students and their families decorated pumpkins. The St. Mary community voted for their favorite pumpkin by donating canned goods. Over 375 items were collected! Baby Pumpkin was the winning pumpkin collecting over 50 votes. Thank you to everyone who participated and helped us put our faith in action by caring for those in need.
We loved our field trip to Autumn in the Country!
