December 2, 2014

Present: Mr. Kieffer, Rev. Chukwuleta, Angie Jansen, Sara Lake, Annette Roesener, Jill Dunkel, Melissa Cass, Mike Baker, HASA – Sheri Taggert, Teacher – Mrs. Grimm, Finance - Jon Ormiston Absent: Scott Gunkel, Tina Geinger,Michelle Myers, Kristin Hauck, Kim Hesher

Opening - School Board Prayer

Review of minutes from last meeting – minutes were approved

Old Business:

1.Sports Collaboration with Oak Farm

Committee Reports:

Mr. Keiffer, Sara Lake and Angie Jansen met with Oak Farm
They are open to making changes to accommodate our wishes as far as the cost

for players, uniforms and prayers before games are concerned
CYO will discuss the possibility of Oak Farm being able to join with St.

Mary to form teams at their next meeting
Oak Farm would like to form an Athletic Board with representation from St. Mary

as well as Oak Farm on the board
We also heard concerns from parents and teachers as to the pros and cons of Oak

Farm verses CYO for sports in the future

  1. Finance and Development – Jonathon's report

  2. Catholic Identity – working on constitution and any changes that are needed

  3. Enrollment and Marketing – Annette talked to Mrs. Taube and Mrs. Yoder about sending

    fliers out to preschool families during Catholic schools week

  4. Principal Evaluation – nothing new

Parish Council Report:

  1. Representative report – None

  2. Annette to attend next meeting on January 20th @ 7:00

Old Business:

1. Light of Learning Luncheon January 27th @ 11:00

New Business:

  1. Jon Ormiston discussed this years financial s

  2. Tuition increases are needed to be within the dioceses guidelines

  3. Budget has passed and tuition set for 2015/2016 school year

 

HASA report – Sheri Taggert

  1. Attendance is up at the meeting

  2. Have more parents helping out

  3. Mother/ Son event was a big hit

  4. Next meeting is December 8th @ 6:30

School Administrators Report

1. Mr. Keiffer and Mrs. Richardson to receive special training in how to restrain a student properly( who is a danger to themselves or others) should the need arise, this is necessary in order for St. Mary to stay within the accreditation standards of the state

Pastor Report

1. Deacon Ty will be here next week to talk during the Parish Advent events
