Fancy friends spent the week celebrating the popular book series, Fancy Nancy written by Jane O' Connor. Nancy adores all things Fancy! She loves to use big fancy words such as "extraordinary", "ecstatic", and "iridescent" and of course...anything in French!

It is in HIS eyes that we look just divine as we are, Darlings!!!

Easter Egg-citement in Pre-K 3's!

IMG_9132.JPG

Listen to what Jesus tells us in the Bible: "I am the resurrection and the life; whoever believes in me will live forever." The class participated in the school wide Easter Triduum Prayer Service.

Holy Thursday-May the washing of the feet and the breaking of the bread lead us to be people of service and compassion.

Good Friday-May the tomb give us the courage to die to all that is within us that is not from God.

Holy Saturday-May the new water and light of Easter shine through our words and actions.

Easter Sunday-HE IS RISEN! May the God of all goodness bless us all! Alleluia!

Easter Eggsperts used Easter grass, eggs and bunnies to create Easter Art! Friends dipped hardboiled eggs to "dye" for and hopped along as we counted various types of new life...chicks, bunnies, and lambs. The children listened to Worm's Wagon and then pasted worms shaped like W's into tall grass. Peeking in on  some REAL worms had (almost) everyone giving this  letter a thumbs up! Thank you for helping your child fill their Rainbow Color Bag!

February on the Farm

Farm friends began a new unit in HEA, The City Mouse and the Country Mouse. Before listening to the story on CD, the class read two non fiction titles, I Live in the Country and I Live in the City. After much discussion, the children used their Pick Me Stick to show where they would like to live. What can your child tell you about the country? How about the city? We talked about where we live and about how both places are important. Like the Country Mouse, we are content in our homes but do love to visit the other!
