Welcome Back Letter 2016-17

Hello Parents,

Welcome back to school!! Hopefully everyone had a great summer break. I can’t believe how fast it went.HASA is excited about this year. We unfortunately did not get into Johnny Appleseed or Apple Festival to sell root beer, so we will have to think of some other ideas. We will be selling cookie dough this year. The dates for the sale are August 12th to August 26th. Delivery will be the week of September 12th. We appreciate everyone that sells and buys. It is our biggest fundraiser. HASA dues this year were not able to be taken out of FACTS or Choice. It was too difficult to track the various expenses for the school and other organizations. We will be going back to the old way of just paying us directly. Please make the checks out to St. Mary’s. You can send them to school in an envelope any time. HASA does not have a checkbook anymore in accordance with Diocesan policy.Dues this year will be lowered to $50 a family and $20 for preschool. This is in part to HASA not doing a few activities (Halloween Bowling), and thanks to Mrs. Sandor for taking a few items off our budget. If you have any questions, please feel free to call me 897-2465. If the dues are an issue for your family, please to do not hesitate to call me. We never want it to be an issue. We just want to provide the extras for our children’s education and enrichment. Our first meeting will be at the school on Wednesday, August 24th at 6:30 pm. We will be electing a new vice president. We will also be discussing some ideas for fund raisers and fun activities. We are planning on doing a Trunk or Treat in October and would like to have a Trivia night this fall. Please let me know if you are interested in coming on Trivia Night! We need 6 to 7 tables.

We hope to see you at the meeting!

Sincerely,

Kim Hesher
