The Principal Search Committee (PSC) completed its search according to the strict guidelines required by the Catholic Schools Office (CSO) of the Diocese of Fort Wayne – South Bend. On June 15, 2017 Mr. Andrew Adams was offered and accepted the opportunity to become St. Mary Catholic School’s next principal. While the CSO demands strict confidentiality, the PSC wishes to convey the following non-confidential information to provide insight into the selection process. The St. Mary Catholic School PSC received four approved applications from the CSO. The PSC interviewed all four candidates. While CSO guidelines recommend only four committee meetings, the PSC decided early in the process to ensure that it took the appropriate amount of time to make this very important decision. Superintendent Marsha Jordan officially initiated the search process on March 23rd and the PSC met for ten subsequent meetings. The PSC also worked to guarantee that every PSC member was available to attend each meeting. While the process lasted longer than many would have hoped, we feel that the extra time has allowed us to efficiently and effectively recommend the best person for St. Mary Catholic School.
