Two players from the Ft. Wayne Komets visited with our students, demonstrated their hockey gear, and urged students to "shoot for the stars." The players also presented Mrs. Amy Freiburger with a gift card for her classroom; Mrs. Freiburger had been honored for her excellent teaching at a Komets game back in February. Thank you Ft. Wayne Komets for your support of our schools!
St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic School was well-represented at the recent Diocesan Pueri Cantores celebration by this group of hard-working choir students. Pueri Cantores is an international Catholic choral organization that provides opportunities for school-aged youth choirs from all backgrounds to participate in liturgical music.
The Mileage Club has continued through the winter months, but with better weather around the corner, students are sure to walk/run more and more laps! Brooklyn Arnold, a 2nd grader, was the first student to reach 100 miles so far this 2017-2018 school year; way to go Brooklyn! Keep walking and running those laps St. Mary students and staff!
Principal Adams and members of the 7th grade class presented the 8th graders with special “gold” fleece in appreciation of their leadership this school year. This group of students has done a wonderful job leading by example!
